Home Food at Fink Table

I’m launching my new book, Home Food, in the only way that feels right - at home. 

Well, technically I’m borrowing the home from a friend - specifically the glorious beachside home of my long-time friend, mentor, and supporter, John Fink, as part of his private supper club series, Fink Table. His home is right on the sand at Clovelly, with doors open, food flowing, and shoes optional - the perfect location to launch Home Food.

The night will be built around a generous, shared menu cooked from my new book by Aplenty - I’ve taken off the apron for the night to join the party. Think help-yourself plates, grazing as you go, mingling on the deck with a drink in hand and the ocean as our backyard.

The menu brings together some of my favourite recipes from the book. Think chickpea, anchovy, and rosemary dip with summer crudité, a live pasta station, slow-cooked trout with green hero sauce, porchetta with essential crackling, and an ice-cream cart featuring Messina’s Elisabetta with honey pangrattato.

Gin and tonics or yuzu sodas from Four Pillars to begin, followed by a healthy selection of wines from DRNKS.

To set the mood, musicians will serenade the night with the sounds of Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, and Ella Fitzgerald - easy, familiar, and just right.

Signed books can be added when purchasing your ticket, or bought on the night from one of the world’s best little bookshops, Gertrude & Alice. 

It will be a lovely night celebrating Home Food with friends. Limited tickets available. I hope you can join me.
